Very uncommon and elusive. Mainly found in remote woodland adjacent to open hill areas.

Uncommon and infrequently seen. Generally found in coniferous plantations.

Otter

Widespread along the rivers Avon and Livet, though infrequently seen.

Relatively numerous especially on farmland and in coniferous woodland

Like the weasel they are common and widespread in Glenlivet particularly where there are rabbits.

Common and widespread in Glenlivet and found in a range of habitats, especially where there are numerous small rodents.

Fox

Found in woodlands and on hill areas, throughout Glenlivet.

Mink

(Mustela vison)Mink

Infrequently seen in or alongside the rivers Livet and Avon. A non-native carnivore, mink are trapped and culled to minimise their impact on native wildlife.
